Supervision

“The sense of supervision as being an oasis or a fireside, a place where a weary traveller can take some respite and nourishment to continue his or her professional journey.” – Hewson J. 2008, pg34 (ed. Shohet R)

Clinical Supervision

I provide clinical supervision for trainees and qualified therapists and counsellors. You may also find supervision helpful if you are working in a profession where you are working with the emotional wellbeing and safeguarding of others such as in education and medical settings.

My approach to supervision

At the root of my work as a therapist, tutor, and supervisor is the relationship. The relationship is the fundamental vehicle for change, both professionally and personally.

I see supervision as a time and space to explore the landscape of work and the humans within that landscape. Theory provides a map to navigate by, and ethics provide the boundaries to maintain safe experiences for clients, supervisees, and supervisors.

My approach to supervision is one of empowerment. I aim to come alongside my supervisees with curiosity, empathy, new perspectives, and challenge. I see supervision as a process that empowers my supervisees in their own development and exploration.
